Defguard Desktop Client is required if you want to use Multi-Factor Authentication as any other WireGuard client doesn't support this functionality.

When you can access defguard

In this scenario, you can log in to your defguard account.

Click "Add new device" on your profile page.

Next, choose "Remote Desktop Activation".

Open the desktop client, click "Add Instance" on the navigation bar, and paste the token and URL you received.

Complete the process, and afterward, a new instance should appear in the navigation.

When you don't have access to defguard

In this scenario, you are a fresh user and require enrollment or can't access Defguard on your current device.

First, you should receive an instance URL (the public enrollment service address) and token from your administrator, either by email or other means.

Click "Add Instance" and fill the form with the received token and URL.

Complete the process, and afterward, a new instance should appear in the navigation with all the VPN locations available for you.

If you are an administrator and want to find out how to generate tokens.
